Home My WebLink About2006-412(Measure Z) . 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 2006-412 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACTS OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION AND ADVISORY ELECTION HELD ON THE 7TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 2006, DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF AND SETTING FORTH SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of San Bernardino on the 7'h day of November 2006; and WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in the time form and manner as provided by law; voting precincts were properly established; election officers were appointed and in all respects said election was held and the returns made and declared in the time, form, and manner as required by the provisions of the Charter of the City of San Bernardino and the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of public elections in the City of San Bernardino; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2006-237, adopted on July 10, 2006, and Resolution Nos. 2006-286, 2006-287, and 2006-288 adopted on August 8, 2006, the Registrar of Voters of the County of San Bernardino canvassed the returns of said election and has certified the results to this City Council and said results are received, attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit A. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino as follows: Section I: That there were 119 consolidated precincts established for the purpose of holding said election. ~ ~ . 2006-412 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACTS OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION AND ADVISORY ELECTION HELD ON THE 7TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 2006, DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF AND SETTING FORTH SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW. Section 2: That said Special Municipal Election and Advisory Election were held for the purpose of filling the vacant Third Ward Council Seat and voting on Measure Z, a general transactions and use tax, and Measure YY to allow the voters to voice their opinions with respect to the use of proceeds of said general transactions and use tax. Section 3: That the grand total of all votes cast in the City of San Bernardino in said election was 28,075 including 10,790 absent voter ballots. That the number of votes given at each precinct and the number of votes given in the City for the Third Ward election and the measures are listed on the attached Exhibit A. Section 4: That the City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council of said City a statement ofthe results of the Special Municipal Election and Advisory Election held on the 7th day of November 2006.
