A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
NARDINO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER WORK IN PORTIONS OF TIA JUANA
STREET BETWEEN ELEVENTH STREET AND BASE LINE STREET; LENORE AVENUE
BETWEEN CONGRESS STREET TO A POINT APPROXIMATELY 230.00 FEET SOUTH
THEREOF, IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernar-
dino by Ordinance No. 2063, adopted May 16, 1955, establ ished a
procedure for finding and determining whether the public convenience
and necessity require certain improvements or acquisition of property,
and authorizing notices and hearings to be combined. and held concurr-
ently with the hearing required by the impro~ement act pursuant to
which the improvement proceeding is proposed;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COMMON' COUNCIL OF 'THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That pursuant to Ordinance No. ' 2063, said Mayor and
Common Counci I hereby elect to combine theCheardng required therein
with the hearing required by 'Se.ction 5132 of t.h~.'Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. That it is the intention of said Mayor and Common
Council to order the improvement of portions of Tia Juana Street
between Eleventh Street and Base Line Street; Lenore Avenue between
Congress Street to a point approximately 230.00 feet South thereof,
in said City, in the fol lowing manner, to wit:
The construction of Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters
and plant-mix surfacing in portioQs of Tia Juana Street
between Eleventh Street and Base Line Street; Le.nore Avenue
between Congress Street to a point approximately 230.00 feet
South thereof.

Reference is hereby made to Drawing No. 2873 and any supple-
mental drawings mentioned thereon, on file in the office of the City
Engineer of said City, and to Specifications No. 2271, on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said City, for a full and detailed
description of the said proposed work and improvement, the particular
locations thereof, and the lines upon which, and grades to wh~ch, it
shal I be done; provided that where lines or grades therefor, or for
any portion thereof, are not shown by, or set forth upon, such draw-
ings, said proposed work and improvement shal I be done upon the
official lines and to the official grades therefor.
SECTION 3. That saJd contemplated work and improvement is of
more than local or ordinary publ ic benefit, and that said Mayor and
Common Council do hereby make the expense of such work and improve-
ment chargeable upon a district, which district is hereby declared
to be the district benefited by said propbsed work and improvement,
and to be assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof, and which
district embraces all that real property situate in the City of San
Bernardino, ~ounty of San Bernardino, State of Cal ifornia, as out-
lined in red on District Map No. 2873 A.D., on file in the office of
the City Engineer of said City. All public streets or alleys, or
portions thereof, hereby are exc~pted from said district.
SECTION 4. That serial bonds extending over a period of nine
years from the second day of January next succeeding the next September
1st following their date, 'and bearing interest at the rate of six per
cent per annum, payab I e "semi -annua I I y, shall be issued as prov i ded
by the I mppovement Act of 1911 t'o represent assessments of Fifty
Do II ars or over for the cost of sa id proposed work and improvement,
remaining unpaid for thirty days after the date of the warrant.

SECTION 5. That The San Bernardino Evening Telegram, a daily
newspaper published and circulated in said City, fs hereby designated
as the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention, and al I further
notices and resolutions relating to said work and improvement, shall
be pub I i shed.
SECTION 6. That notice IS hereby ~iveh that on March I, 1965,
at the hour of 9:30 A.M., in the Counci I Chamber, fn .the City Hall,
in said City, there shail be a pubJic hearing before said Mapor and
Common Council for the purpose of determi~ing whether the public con-
ven i ence and necess i ty. requ i re. the above desc'to i bed improvement, and
at which time and place any and all persons having any objections to
such determination or to the proposed work or improvement may appear
and show cause why the Mayor and Common Council should not find that
the public convenience and necessity require the above described
improvement and why the said work or improvement should not be carried
out in accordance with th.s resolution.
SECTION 7. That said Mayor and Common Council, in making the
improvement, elects to proceed under and in accordance with the pro-
visions of the "Improvement Act of 1911", being Division 7 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cal ifornia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed by the
Mayor and Common Counci I of the City of San Bernardino, at .a regular
