Recommended motion:
1. That the plans for the improvement of Mill Street, from Lena
Road to Tippecanoe Avenue, in accordance with Plan No. 9487, be
approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be

STAFF REPORT
Plans for the improvement of Mill Street, from Lena Road
to Tippecanoe Avenue, have been completed and the project is
ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists, in
general, of widening, installing a curbed median with land-
scaping, rehabilitating pavement, installing street lights and
traffic signals at the intersection of Lena Road.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:

All costs incurred for this project will be charged to
Account No. 242-362-5504-7093. Seventy-five (75%) percent of the
total project cost will be reimbursed from the grant approved by
the Federal Economic Development Administration. The 25% local
matching funds will be provided by the Inland Valley Developnent
Agency.
No City funds will be used to finance any portion of. this
project.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
