Recommended motion:
That the plans for modification of traffic signals at Mt. Vernon
Avenue and 7th Street, in accordance with Plan No. 9630, be
approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be
authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for the modification of traffic signals at Mt.
Vernon Avenue and 7th Street have been completed, and the project
is ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists, in
general, of installing new traffic signal poles with mast arms,
new electrical service, conduit and wiring, loop detectors,
auditory pedestrian signals for the visually impaired, and 2" ADA
pedestrian push buttons.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 46,000
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #7078) 4,500
Edison Meter Fee 500
Sub-Total $ 51,000
Contingencies (15%):!: 7,500
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 58,500
All costs incurred for this project will be charged to
the $60,000 allocated under Account No. 250-370-5504-7078.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
