C17Y OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT PROBLEK The Fire Department will begin operation of emergency medical transport services on midnight May I, 1997. The six (6) ambulances and the two (2) reserve ambulances will have to be initially stocked with equipment and supplies required by the regulatory agencies. RECOMMENDATION Mayor and Common Council authorize the Purchasing Manager to issue a purchase order to Moore Medical Corp. for the purchase and delivery of medical equipment specified in F97-17 EMS equipment spreadsheet. FINDINGS In January the city distributed bid packages for the required medical equipment. All bids were due on February 3, 1997. Five vendors submitted packages, however only one vendor submitted the required Bid Bond. The only qualified bidder was Moore Medical Corp. 75.0264
