We have requested Mr. Shum to provide us with detailed
plans and structural calculations for these signs. Additional
signs will be installed along the north side of Northpark
Boulevard. It is our understanding that these signs will be
outside the street right-of-way and, therefore, not under the
City's jurisdiction.
Installation of non-city facilities within a street
right-of-way is authorized by a standard form License Agreement.
This agreement provides, in general, that the applicant is
authorized to install the proposed facility and will assume
responsibility for liability and maintenance.
The standard form License Agn'emp.nt states that an ad...
ministrative fee of $500 shall be paid to cover processing costs.
We recommend that the request be approved in principle;
and the City Attorney be directed to prepare the standard form
License Agreement.
