Resolution of the City of San Bernardino
Appointing Election Officers and Designation of
Polling Places Pursuant to California Elections
Code Section 12286 for the Special Municipal
Election to be held March 18, 1997
Elections Code Section 12286 requires that at least 29 days
before an election, the elections official shall establish a
convenient number of election precincts, designate polling
places, and appoint precinct boards consisting of a minimum of
one inspector and two clerks for each precinct.
The Elections Code further requires that not less
before the election, a list of the polling places
board members appointed be published.

Monday, Feburary 17, 1997, is the 29th day before the March 18,
1997 Special Election; therefore, the attached Resolution
appointing election officers and designating polling places needs
to be adopted to meet the stated deadlines.
There will be 73 polling places for the March 18th election. The
locations of those polling places are listed on the attached
Resolution as well as the names of those being appointed to serve
on the respective precinct boards.
