CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT Plans for the widening of 40th Street, from Third Avenue to Acre Lane, have been completed, and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists, in general, of installing curbs and gutters, sidewalk, paving, street lights, and traffic signals. Below is an estimate of the total project cost: Construction Contract Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #7008) Sub-Total Contingencies (12%)i TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 483,573 48,357 $ 531,930 63,830 $ 595,760 All costs incurred for this project the $702,800 allocated in the 1995/96 Gas Account No. 126-369-5504-7008. The County's of the actual total project cost. will be charged to Tax Budget, under share will be 47.6% We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted to advertise for bids.
