The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is responsible for the landscape
maintenance upkeep of the multi-use San Bernardino Stadium. In order to maintain this facility
to the exacting standards of major league baseball, new turf management equipment is required.
The department prepared specifications for landscape maintenance equipment for use at the new
city stadium. The Purchasing Department advertised for bids on 11/25/96 and sent bid packages
to 22 firms for furnishing the landscape equipment.
Pacific Equipment & Irrigation, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder meeting bid Specification
F-97-12 criteria for the following equipment:
1. Turf Sprayer $ 5,813.11
2. Fertilizer Spreader 3,227.11
3. Turf Vehicle 11,744.75
4. Infield Groomer 9,261.11
Total $30,046.08

associated with the high level maintenance requirements of a multi-faceted facility.
