',,', 7~::-.0lJf,T;::j't'f " RESOLUTION NO. 87-143 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO GIV ING NOTICE INVITING COMPETITIVE SEALED AND ORAL BIDS FOR THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY SAID CITY, GENERALLY LOCATED WEST SIDE OF DEL ROSA AVENUE, NORTH OF MARSHALL BOULEVARD, IN SAID CITY, ESTABLISHING A MINIMUM SALE PRICE FOR SAID PROPERTY. WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, a municipal corporation, is the owner of the hereinafter described parcel of real property situated in the City of San Bernardino, State of California; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino find and determine that there is no further need or necessity for the use of said real property; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the Ci ty of San Bernardino believe it to be in the best interest of the said City that said parcel of real property be disposed of at the highest price obtainable in the open market. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR ANO COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Notice is hereby given inviting competitive sea 1 ed and ora 1 bi d proposa 1 s for the di sposi ti on of the following real property, more particularly described in and subject to the terms of Specification No. 15.02-172 on file in the office of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer, Real Property Section, City Hall, 300 North "0" Street, San Bernardino, California, and generally described as follows: "A rectangular parcel of land totaling approximate- ly 30,000 square feet, located on the West side of Del Rosa Avenue, North of Marshall Boulevard." 1111 Aoril 21, 1987 1 "" ,0, " . SECTION 2. The minimum acceptable bid for said property is as follows: $60,000.00 cash selling price. SECTION 3. Each sealed bid proposal must be accompanied by a cashier's check in an amount equal to 10% of the total purchase price bid. SECTION 4. Sealed bids must be delivered to the Office of the City Administrator, City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, Cal ifornia, on or before the hour of 2:00 p.m., June 19, 1987, at which time said sealed bids shall be opened and publicly declared. The results of said bidding shall be submi tted to the Mayor and Common Council at the hour of 2:00 p.m., at the Counci 1 Chambers, Ci ty Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California, at the next regularly scheduled Council Meeting following the opening of bids. At that time, oral bids may be received as follows: In $250.00 increments, provided that the initital oral bid shall be in an amount not less than the highest sealed bid plus $250.00. The successful bidder shall be required to make a non-refundable deposi t wi th the Ci ty Clerk pri or to the end of the meeting in an amount equal to 10% of the total price bid. SECT ION 5. Copies of the "Oescription of Property, Requirements of Bidders, Requirements of Sale and the Official Bid Form" may be obtained in the Office of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer, Real Property Section, Room 405, City Hall, 300 North "0" Street, San Bernardino, California. SECTION 6. All written bid proposals must be signed, sealed and delivered as indicated in Section 4. No bid proposal will be considered which fails to offer a sum equal to or greater than the minimum acceptable bid prices established herein, or which is filed at a later time or at a different place or with a different person than as stated in Section 4, unless there is substantial compliance as determined by the City Administrator in his sole discretion. This resolution shall be posted on or near the door of the Council Cha~ers, City Hall, San Bernardino, California, and a Notice Inviting Bids for the disposition of said property shall be published not less than once, at least 10 days prior to the date for filing bid proposals with the City Administrator, in the San Bernardino Sun Telegram, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in sa i d City.
