This tetter is issued to thank you for your consideration of Pastor Elliott to serve in the
capacity of a Commissioner for the City of San Bernardino per your request. Further
to document and authenticate the Employment of Dr. Terry Elliott, as Senior
Pastor/President of this firm and to give you a snapshot of his responsibilities as such.
Mt Zion is near 50 (1962) years old, and has been incorporatQd since 1966 in San
Bernardino, CA. When Dr. Elliott assumed the Helm of this organization, he managed
an operatin� budget of near S550k per annum and a membership of about 300+. He
Brou�ht a whole new tevel and styEe of accountable leadership to Mt. Zion, which has
caused us to excet to levets un-anticipated in record time.
Under his leadership, we have progressed to 1,400+ members and an annual operating
budget of near $10M (2005) at prese�t. The staff has devetoped from a mere
secretary, to now 17 Administrative Assistants, a 8 member finance division, A 13-
Member Board of Directors, A 31- Member Generai Board, the acquisition,
management of near$7M of real property, he is ex•officio chairman of 26 Auxiliary
or�anizatians. (each of which, has an approximate average leadership staff of 10). He
mana�es a weekly media broadcast. He directs an After-School Youth Program with
over 300+ Youth. A �leet of transportation vehicles.
In addition, he co-manages, throu�h our organization, several major civic projects
such as, San Bernardino County Annuat Homeless Care-Faire (2001 - 2006), San
Bemardino County Annual Senior Citizen Health and WeEI-ness Project (2003 -
Present), Annual Holiday Toy Give Away - (2001 - Present)

"Toys For Tots" ( 2005 - serving over 1,750 low income chitdren) and 2006 (figures yet
not ac�ounted for), Annual Thanksgiving Homeless and tow income dinner (2005 -
servin� 6,000 meafs). He has Partnered us with the US Marine Corps (Young Marines).
He has, in the past, served the State 0'f California under 2 Administrations in the
Juvenile Delinquency Commission, Partner/Liaison to the Department Of Corrections
in the development for a juvenile Diversion program.
In addition he represents us through our denominational work as a Member of the
Board af Directors ( National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc • 1.8 Million Members) and
past Moderator af The Los Angeles South-West District Assaciation (118 member
Churches), Past President-At-Large, California State Baptist Conventivn (19,000
member Churches). He has been reco�nized by 2 United States Presidents and in 1999
was recognized by For President Ctinton as one of 60 "Outstanding Young American
Leaders".
