LAST COUNTER OFFER BY UNION
PERS CONTF: I BUTI ON PA I D BY CITY:
Effective First Pay Period in January 1990 City will
pay an additional 2% of employees contribution.
Effective First Pay Period in July 1990 Cit~ will
pay an additional 1% of employees contribution.
Effective First Pay Period in January 1991 City will
pay an additional 1% of employees contribution.
Effective First Pay Period in July 1991 City will pay
an additional 1% of employees contribution.
This will constitute the City paying the total 9% of
employees contribution.
HEALTH INSURANCE:
City will pay Kaiser South rate at the following rates:

Employee plus one---l00% .::.f cost
Emp I oyee p I us t w.::. or m.:.r e---BO% of cost.
These percentages shall stay in effect during the life of
the MOU. If the employee chooses a more expensive plan
from the choices offered by the PERS Health Care Plans
the employee pay the difference between the more costly
plan and the Kaiser South rate.
PARAMEDIC BONUS:
A Paramedic with 1 day-l year
A Paramedic with 1 year-2 years
A Paramedic with over 2 years
$200.00 month
$250.00 month
$300.00 month
These times are based on time as a Paramedic within the
San Bernardino City Fire Dept.
Also, a $1000.00 re-certification bonus.
SICK-TIME BUY-OUT:
EffectivE. January 1,1990

Effective August 1, 1991
50% of 1920 hours max.
50% of 2400 hljUl"'S max.
50% unlimited.

If the cost of this benefit is 4% the employee will

1.5%. Employee shall pay half the cost of this
benefit up to a lnaximuln of 21..

Last Year RollOver on PERS Contribution.
OTHER INSUF':ANCE:
City shall contribute up to a maximum of $15.00 per
month per member for LTD Insurance.
