Background: During the FY06/07 budget process, five new Code Officer positions were approved. These two pick up trucks will be additions to the fleet to accommodate two of the new positions. They will be utilized by these new officers for .Operation Phoenix" as well as normal Code Enforcement duties. RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE ORDER TO FAIRVIEW FORD OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE NEGOTIATED PURCHASE OF TWO 2007 FORD RANGER PICK UP TRUCKS, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE CODE COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Fairview Ford has offered a negotiated purchase price of $27,771.74 including tax PURSUANT TO Section 3.04.070-1 of the Municipal Code for two 2007 Ford Ranger pick up trucks. Pursuant to this determination the Director of Finance or her designee is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order to Fairview Ford of San Bernardino, in the amount of $27,771.74. SECTION 2. The Purchase Order shall reference this Resolution No. 2006-_ and shall read, "Purchase of two 2007 Ford Ranger pick up trucks, P.O. not to exceed $27,771.74" and shall incorporate the terms and conditions of the Contract. SECTION 3.
