12-21-92 - Requests for CDBG financial assistance, in the amount
of $2,268,520, as submitted by the Community Develop-
ment Citizens Advisory Committee, approved.
02-15-93 - Plans approved and authorization granted to advertise
for bids.
04-05-93 - Awarded contract to Nadar, Inc., for low bid price of
$148,300.00.
Recommended Motion:

That Contract Change Order No. 3 to the contract with Nadar, Inc.
for the improvements to swimming pool at Boys & Girls Club, in
accordance ith Plan No. 8890, be approved; to reinstate Bid Item
No. 1 and Additive Alternates 1 and 2 to the contract, at the
original bid prices, at an increase in the contract price of
$99,400; from $150,100.00 to $249,500.00.

Approval of Chanqe Order No. 3
Improvements to SWimminq Pool at
Boys and Girls Club
The installation of a diving board and pool fencing were
initially removed from the Bid package for the renovation of the
swimming pool at the Boys & Girls Club due to the lack of
available funding. In the 1993/94 funding cycle, these improve-
ments are funded in Acco~nt 8063004.
Contract Change Order No.1, made at contract award, deleted Bid
Item No.1, and Alternate Bid Items 1 and 2 from the contract
wi th Nadar, Inc. The Contractor has agreed to construct these
improvements at the original bid prices, and it is proposed that
Contract Change Order No. 3 reinstate the items into the contract
with the low bidder, Nadar, Inc.
Below is an estimate of the additional work, based on the actual
low bid price.
Bid Item No. 1 Boys & Girls Club Pool $ 59,700.00

Alternate No. 2 Perimeter Fencing 33,700.00
Contract Sub-Total $ 99,400.00

Funds have been allocated in CDBG Account No. 8063004 in an
amount of $108,100.00 as a part of the 1993/94 grant applications

We recommend that Contract Change Order No. 3 be approved.
