'A) August 1993 has been proclaimed JTPA Alumni Month by Federal
and State Officials. George Fujiwara, Executive Director for
the Employment and Training Agency and Mr. Jim Schneider,
Private Industry Council Chair and Vice-Chair Ms. Deborah
Hagar, will attend the meeting to participate in the award
presentations to four Alumni graduates of the program, one
school, and two employers. The names of the recipients are as
follows:

B) The National JTPA Alumni Month Proclamation will be presented

"'C) The San Bernardino Optimist Bicycle Safety Campaign
Proclamation will be presented to Ms. Patty Gonzales.
COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS:
D) Mr. John R. Lowe, will be appointed to the Community
Television Commission, per Mayor' s request.
E) Ms. Carolyn B. Freeman, will be appointed to the Community
Development Citizen Advisory Commission, per Mayor's request.
