DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF SAN BERlWIDIRO SUW REPORT CEMETERY EXPANSION - SUPPLEMENTAL FIIMlIRG The Redevelopment Committee and Community Development Commission have previously considered and approved funding for Phase I of the cemetery expansion program. Since the nearby baseball field has been taken out of service, the Director of Public Works has recommended (see attached memorandum) that the improvements be extended to this area. The estimated cost of the proposed improvements is $120,000. The Director of Public Works has requested this item be considered by the Redevelopment Committee at its January 7, 1993 meeting. At said Committee meeting, the Director of Public Works answered questions and provided additional background information. After discussion, the Committee voted to forward the matter to the Community Development Commission without a recommendation. This area can novl be landscaped, since the baseball field has been taken out of servi.ce. l~e have prepan,d a preliminary estimate of cost of $120,000, and assume that the necessary funds will be allocated from bond proceeds. \'Ie will proceed to prq)are basic plans for this additional area, and negotiate a change order with our contractor.
