M Approved as to , , 1 FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT 2 (Senior Nutrition Program) 3 THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT is made and entered into 4 between the COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, acting as the Area Agency on 5 Aging, hereinafter called the Office on Aging, and the CITY OF SAN 6 BERNARDINO, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called "City". 7 Office on Aging and City agree as follows: 8 1. Recitals. 9 A. office on Aging and City entered into a contract on 10 september 9, 1985, designated in County records as Contract No. 85 11 711. 12 B., The parties now desire to amend said contract to 13 provide for a decrease in the U. S. Department of Agriculture meal 14 reimbursement and a one-time grant to purchase and modify 15 equipment for the Senior Nutrition Program. 16 2. Amendments. 17 A. The maximum amount of California Department of Aging 18 funds awarded under the contract, as specified in Paragraph 6 19 thereof, is hereby increased to $176,404. 20 B. The amount of the maximum monthly payment made by 21 Office on Aging and specified in paragraph 6 of the contract is 22 hereby increased to $14,700. 23 C. The matching share contributed by the City as 24 specified in Paragraph 7 is increased to $14,552 of which -0- 25 shall be cash and $14,552 shall be Inkind. 26 D. Exhibits "A", Attachment A-l, "B", "B-1" are hereby 27 deleted from the contract and new exhibits so designated and 28 arked "Revised" are hereby added to the contract and incorporated EXtlilJ;r A 1 there in by reference. BACKGROUND: On September 9, 1985, the Board of Supervisors approved a contract between the Office on Aging and City of San Bernardino in the amount of $170,229 for the operation of a Senior Nutrition Program in Fiscal Year 1985-86. Subsequently, the Office on Aging received notification of the award of One-Time-Only funds from the California Department of Aging which resulted in'an increase of $9,843 in the allocation of City of San Bernardino. The Office on Aging has also been notified that the reimbursement rate from the United States Department of Agriculture has been reduced from 56.76 cents per meal to 52.52 cents per meal. Approval of the above amendment will adjust the amount of the contract with City of San Bernardino to conform with the addition of the One-Time-Only funds and the reduction in the reimbursement rate from USDA.
