CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO -REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
SUBJECT
Resolution of the City of San Bernardino amending Resolution No. 6413, Section Eleven,
establishing a basic compensation plan (Mid-Management Unit).
BACKGROUND
On September 25, 2002, the Mayor and Common Council approved a Resolution of the City of
San Bemardino implementing a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of San
Bernardino and employees in the Middle Management bargaining unit of the City of San
Bernardino represented by San Bernardino Public Employees' Association.
As per language in Article III. Compensation. Section I - Wages. of the Mid-Management
MOU, effective, October 1, 2003, a four percent (4%) Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) will
be given. This COLA will result in the entire pay scale moving upward by four percent (4%).
This resolution is being amended to reflect the above salary increase.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The cost for the four percent (4%) pay increase has been included in the FY 03-04 adopted City
budget, so there is no additional cost to amend this resolution.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt Resolution.
