STAFF REPORT
AB 4680 requires each city to adopt a filming permit ordinance
and to provide a copy of the proposed ordinance to the California
Film Commission for approval before. adoption. The purpose of
the legislation is to assure uniformity in local regulation and
as close. to a one-stop permit approach as possible.
Attached proposed ordinance and resolution were approved by
the Film Commission on September 13, 1990.

4 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO RELATING TO
PROCEDURES FOR MOTION PICTURE & TELEVISION PRODUCTION PERMITS.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
6 CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Fees. Pursuant to Section 12.64.070, of the
8 San Bernardino Municipal Code, the fee to be deposited with the
9 City in an amount intended to cover the cost of permit issuance
10 for a filming permit is to be the minimum business license fee,
11
$40, as set by the Municipal Code Section MC 5.0~25.
The fee
12 shall not be refundable unless the permit is denied.

SECTION 2. Application. The City Administrator, or his
15 designee, shall be authorized to issue a filming and/or still
16 photography permit to any applicant meeting the requirements of
17 Chapter 12.64 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, at such time
18 as the applicant has completed a proper application and paid the
19 applicable fee. No permit shall be issued unless all of these
20 requirements have been.satisfied.
