An inspection was made, the structure was found to be Open
& Vacant with trash and debris throughout property.
Notification process began with a Ten (10) Day Correction
Notice and Intent to Abate Nuisance being mailed.
The Fire Department responded to a fire at this property.
The structure suffered major fire damage. Based on the
extensive amount of fire damage 'stated on the incident
report which was routed to the Code Enforcement Division.
An on site inspection was ordered to determine the amount
of damage. The supervisor of the Building inspection
Division made the determination that the building suffered
over 50% fire damage.
The structure was still open with persons going in and
out, presenting an immediate health and safety hazard.

Commissioners to incur the costs in the amount of $7,172.00 as a lien on
the property and a personal obligation of the owner(s).

15, Chapter 15.28, the Building Official has posted a bUilding(s)

nuisance;

11 WHEREAS, pursuant to San Bernardino Municipal COde, the build-
12 ing Official has served a "Notice of Hearing Before the Board of
13 Building Commissioners of the City of San Bernardino", relating to
14 abatement of said nuisance, to the person(s) having an interest in
15 the above property, and has prepared a declaration of mailing of

the notice, a copy of which is on file in these proceedings; and

WHEREAS, a hearing was held to receive and consider all

SEC'l'ION 1. Based upon the evidence submitted, it was found
and determined that the huilding(s) andlor premise. located at

, San Bernardino, California, constituted a

public nuisance for. the reasons set forth in Exhihit "A", attached
hereto and incorporated herein hy reference as though fully set
forth at lenqth as the findings of fact of the Board.
SEC'l'ION 2. Based upon the evidence submitted, it was deter-
mined that the City of San Bernardino was required to initiate
abatement actions; that the City incurred costs in the SUII of
$ 7 , 1 n nn to ahate the above property, and that these costs to the
city to abate the ahove property shall he the personal ohligation
of the owner(s) as well as a lien on the ahove property.
SEC'l'ION 3. The owner(s) is directed to keep the vacant
huilding(s) boarded and secure and to keep the premi... free of
debris, trash, and graffiti. The owner(s) is directed to ohtain
permits and to rehabilitate the huilding(s) oin compliance with
city codes prior to any occupancy.
SEC'l'ION 4. Any person aggrieved hy this order may, within
fifteen (15) days after .luly 10 1ClClO , app~al to the COIDIIIon
Council hy filing with the City Clerk a written statement or the
order appealed from the specific ground. of appeal and the relief
or action sougbt from the COIDIIIon Council.

Pursuant to action of the Board of Building Commissioners
taken on July 6 lqqn , a nuisance was found to exist at
555 W. Victoria , San Bernardino, California.
certain costs were incurred to abate the nuisance and are
listed in the attached statement of costs. These costs have
been approved by the Board of Building Commissioners' and
shall become a lien upon the property, if not paid.

An appeal may be made within fifteen (15) days of the date of
the decision of the Board of Building Commissioners to the
Common Council. If no appeal is taken, the costs incurred
shall become a lien upon the real property unless paid to the
City Clerk within fifteen (15) days of the date of this
notice.

of reasonable care and in violation of applicable Munici-
