STAFF REPORT
On September 16, 1969, authorization was given to proceed with the proposed annexation
of the area generally located North of the 1-10 Freeway, between Tippecanoe Avenue and
Mountain View Avenue, as a result of a petition received by the City from a property
owner within the area proposed for annexation.
On November 20,1969, Resolution No. 69-457 was adopted, making formal application to the
Local Agency Formation Committee (LAFCO), which was repealed and a new appl ication
made by Resolution No. 90-54. This application was further modified by Resolution No.
90-168. These modifications were made due to technical errors in identifying certaill
parcels OImed b~' the City of Redlands, that an, not a part of this am.exati on.
On aune 4. 1990. Resolution No. 90-202 was adopted. determining propertv tax revenues
to be exchanged between the Ci t~. of San Bernardino, dnd the County of Sall Bernardino.
On aune 20, 1990. LAFCO adopted their Resolution No. n65. approvi.ng the anllexatlOn.

section 56000 of the CalHornia Government Code.

The date of issuance of the Certificate
of Completion shall be the effective date of this annexation.
WHEREAS, a description of the boundaries for the proposed
annexation is as follows: generally located North of the 1-10 Freeway,
between Tippecanoe Avenue and Mt. View Avenue, and and is more ful iy
described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated by reference as
though fully set forth in length.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTIO~ 1. A public hearing will be conducted on Wednesday.
September 5, 1990, to be held in Council Chambers, City Hall, 300 North "D"
Street. San Bernardino, California, at the hour of 10:00 a.m., or as soon
after that time as the matter may be heard, to receive, consider and ruie
upon written protests to the annexation designated LAFCO 2541.
SECTIOK 2. At any time prior to the conclusion of the hearing in
the notice given by the clerk, but not thereafter, any owner of land or any
registered vot.er within inhahited territory proposed to be annexed, may file
a written protest against the annexation. Each written protest shall state
whether it is made by a I andOll1ler or registered voter and the name and
address of the owner of the land affected and the street address or other'
description sufficient to identify the location of the land or the name and
address of the registered voter as it appears on the affidavit of
registration. Protests may be made on behalf of an owner of land by an agent
authorized in writing by the owners to act as agent with respect to that
land. Protests may be made on behalf of a private corporati on whi ch is an
owner of land by any officer or employee of the corporation without written
authorization by the corporation to act as an agent in making that protest.
