Recommended motion:
1. That the Director of Public Works/City Enqineer and the City
Clerk are authorized to proceed with the proposed vacation of
a portion of Edqehill Road, East of Little Mountain Drive.
2. That Plan No. 8159, showinq the proposed vacation of a portion
of Edqehill Road, East of Little Mountain Drive, be approved.
3. That the request of the Homeowners Association for repairs to
the street prior to vacation be denied.

A reqUest was received fro. the Ildgehill Village Ro.eowners' Association through
the Ildgehill MarlageMnt Corporation to vacate Ildgehill Road. East of Little
Mountain Drive. 1be Northerly 30 feet of Edgehill Drive will revert to the
Ildgehill Village Roaeowners' Association and the Southerly 30 feet is owned by
the City of San Bernardino
1bis request coaes as a result of the aunter of one of the property owners this
past Deceaber. 276 condo.iniu. unit ownft'S were polled and 601. have agreed with
the proposed vacation. Future plans include the installation of autoaatic
vehicular ,ates and periaeter fencinr to U.it unauthorized entry. 1be only
other property owner involved is the City of San Bernardino. 1be Northerly edge
of Blair Park abuts Ildgehill Road. but entry to the Park is available fro. Little
Mountain Drive. 33rd Street and Marshall Boulevard. .
As the Southerly half of Edgehill Road is City-owned property. the City will need
to ccmveythe property to the Ed,ehillVillage RDlleowners' Association in order
for thea to enclose the property beinr vacated.
1be Edgehill Kana(eaent Corporation has. enclosed a street condition report that
indicatel an MOunt of approxillately $3.300 need be spent in ..inteDance and
repairs to the street prior to the coapletion of the street vacation.
Staff recoaa~~d~ that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer and the City
Clerk be authorized and directed to proceed with the proposed vacation of
