Synopsis of Previous Council action:
June, 1988 -- Funds allocated in 1988/89 Budget, under Object Code 53105, "Building
Maintenance", for various City buildings.
05-01-89 -- Resol uti on No. 89-119 adopted awardi ng a contract to Inland Overhead
Door Company, for the low bid price of $27,721.00.
06-19-89 -- Contract Change Order No. One approved for bringing the overhead doors
up to good worki ng condi ti on, for an increase of $9,453.75 in the
contract price.

STAFF REPORT
The contract documents for repair and maintenance of electrical and manual
roll-up doors, screens and bi-fold doors, state that the term of the contract
is until 6-30-90, but can be renewed for two (2) additional one-year periods
by mutual agreement between the City and Contractor.
The Contractor has performed in a very satiSfactory manner. Therefore. we
agree that the contract shoul d be renewed for the peri od from 7-1-90 to
6-30-91.
The Contractor is in agreement with renewing the contract for this period,
wi th no adjustment in the contract uni t pri ces, except for the estab 1 i shment
of a contract unit price for a two-man crew on non-emergency call-outs.
Bid Item No. 22 is for non-emergency call-outs for a one-man crew and truck.
The contract unit price for this bid item is $79.00 per hour.
However, there are occasions that a two-man crew is needed to properly perform
a particular repair. The Contractor has proposed that a contract unit price
of $B9.00 be established for a two-man crew and truck. We feel this is a fair
and reasonable price for providing a two-man crew and truck, on an as-needed
basi s.
Costs incurred for work under thi s contract wi 11 be charged to the amounts
allocated for "Building Maintenance", Object Code 53105, for the City
buildings listed below:
