HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-286 , 1 2 RESOLUTION NO. 88-286 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ESTABLISHING LICENSE FEES FOR DOGS AND CATS. 3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY 4 OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 5 SECTION 1. The following fee schedule for dog and cat 6 licenses is hereby established. 7 8 year period shall be: A. The license and tag fee for each dog or cat for a one 9 10 11 12 13 14 sixteen dollars for a dog or cat not neutered seven dollars for a neutered dog or cat five dollars for a neutered dog or cat belonging to a resident who is 60 years of age or older B. The license and tag fee for each dog or cat for a two year period shall be: thirty dollars for a dog or cat not neutered 15 twelve dollars for a neutered dog or cat ten dollars for a neutered dog or cat belonging to a 16 resident who is 60 years of age or older C. The license and tag fee for each dog or cat for a three 17 18 year period shall be: 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 forty two dollars for a dog or cat not neutered eighteen dollars for a neutered dog or cat fifteen dollars for a neutered dog or cat belonging resident who is 60 years of age or older to a D. A delinquency penalty of ten dollars shall be added to the license fee for failure to license the dog or cat as provided by Section 6.24.030 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, except residents over the age of 60 years old shall be exempt from the penalties. E. A fee of one dollar shall be charged for any additional tag issued to replace a lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged tag. I LM:mw 7/8/88 , 1 F. A fee of three dollars shall be charged for the 2 transfer of ownership of a licensed dog or cat to a new owner in 3 lieu of a fee for a new license for the remainder of the 4 licensing year in which the transfer occurs. 5 G. A fee of three dollars shall be charged for the 6 transfer of a current license from another jurisdiction for the 7 remainder of the licensing year. 8 SECTION 2. The fee for any license purchased may be pro- 9 rated so as to expire during the same month as the month the 10 rabies vaccination was issued. 11 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly 12 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San 13 Bernardino at a reqular meeting thereof, held on 14 the 1st day of , 1988, by the Auaust 15 following vote, to wit: 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 AYES: Council Members Estrada, Reilly, Flores.
