BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City a Second Amendment to Agreement effective July 1, 1986, with the Sun Company of San Bernardino, California, relating to a one-year extension of the term for a newspaper recycling project, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth at length. M?~k~ ~~a.1;J / City Clerk The foregoing resolution is hereby approved this rQ( day December , 1986. of 11 /20/86 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT (Newspaper Recycling Project> THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into effective as of July 1, 1986, by and between the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City", and THE SUN COMPANY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA, a California corporation, hereinafter referred to as "Newspaper". City and Newspaper agree as follows: 9 1. Recitals. 10 A. City and Newspaper entered into an agreement on February 11 3, 1984, and a First Amendment on August 27, 1985, effective July 12 1, 1985, relating to a newspaper recycling program. 13 B. City and Newspaper desire to amend the agreement to 14 provide for a one-year extension of the term, to and including 15 June 30, 1987. 16 2. Term. The term of the agreement is extended for a one- 17 year period, commencing July 1, 1986, and terminating June 30, 18 1987. 19 3. Other Provisions.
