2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN
3 ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED PERSONS, CHAPTER 224, PROVIDING FOR A ONE
YEAR EXTENSION OF THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT FOR THE USE OF
4 CONVENTION CENTER FACILITIES IN EXCHANGE FOR ENTERTAINMENT TO
SENIORS IN CONVALESCENT HOSPITALS AND REST HOMES.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
6 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby
8 authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City a Second
9 Amendment to Agreement with American Association of Retired Person,
10 Chapter 224, providing for a one year extension of the term of the
]1 Agreement for the use of Convention Center facilities in exchange
]2 for entertainment to seniors in convalescent hospitals and rest
13 homes, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and
]4 incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at
]5 length.
16 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly

SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
(Use of Convention Center Facilities)
THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into between
the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal corporation, referred to
as "City", and AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED PERSONS, CHAPTER
224, a nonprofit corporation, referred to as "AARP".
City and AARP agree as follows:
1. Recitals.
(a) City and AARP entered into an Agreement on July 30,
1981, and a First Amendment to Agreement on June 25, 1982,
(collectively the "Agreement") relating to the use of Convention
Center facilities in exchange for entertainment to seniors in
convalescent hospitals and rest homes.
(b) The parties now desire to amend the Agreement to
extend the term thereof through July 31, 1984.
2. Term. The term of the Agreement shall be extended for an
additional period of one year commencing August 1, 1983, and
terminating July 31, 1984.
3. Other Provisions. All other terms, conditions and
covenants of the Agreement shall remain the same and be in full
force and effect.
