STAFF REPORT
At the meeting of March 5, 1990, the Mayor and Common Council
approved a motion that the City Attorney be instructed to
prepare an ordinance amending San Bernardino Municipal
Code Section 5.76.060, subsections B3 and B4, to permit
one ambulance per 10,000 residents and one wheelchair
passenger vehicle per 30,000 residents of the.City.

ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
5.76.060, SUBSECTIONS B(3) AND B(4), OF THE SAN BERNARDINO
MUNICIPAL CODE PROVIDING STANDARDS FOR THE ISSUANCE OF AMBULANCE
AND WHEELCHAIR PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE PERMITS.
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 5.76.060, Subsection B(3), of the San
Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
"3. Not more than one ambulance shall be permitted for
each ten thousand residents of the City, or major
portion thereof."
SECTION 2.
Section 5.76.060, Subsection B(4) of the San
Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
"4. Not more than one wheelchair passenger
transportation vehicle shall be permitted for each
thirty thousand residents of the City, or major
portion thereof; provided, that if the number of
17 calls average over ten per day per vehicle in any
18 ninety-day period, then the bureau may authorize an
19 additional vehicle."
