The Planning Division Manager, would also be an unclassified
management position. The recommended monthly salary range is
4448, $4,143-$5,036. The Planning Division Manager supervises
2 principal Planner positions and would be paid 8.9% above the
Principal Planner.
The Personnel Department has evaluated the request to
reclassify the Senior Secretary position in the Planning
Department budget to Administrative Operations supervisor II.
That position supervises 1 Secretary, 1 Account Clerk II and 6
Typist Clerk II positions. As the supervisor of the
Administrative Support Section, this position will also super-
vise 3 Planning Aides and play a critical role in the newly
combined department and should be upgraded to Administrative
Operations Supervisor II.
Consideration of the request for a Senior Plan Check Engineer
was delayed at this time. The Committee requested staff to
prepare a report concerning the activities of the current code
enforcement staff before a decision is made concerning the
proposal to add a Building Division Manager and ~ Code
Compliance Officers to the department.
