A new survey has been made relative to the necessity of off - sit e imp r 0 ve men t's' 0 nth est r e e t s wit hi nth e C i t Y . The 1 i s t was prepared and has been checked relative to qualifying under the provisions of Chapter 12.92 and we recommend that the necessary improvements be made. The list as compiled affects 15 parcels of land needing improvements of either paving, curb, curb and gutter, sidewalk or combinations thereof and the total estimated cost is anticipated to be $38,161.00. If the property owners choose not to do the work, then the construction will go to bid for an outside contract or be done by the Public Services Department if their work load permits. Due to the low overall cost, we recommend that the City upfront the contract cost, if necessary, and that the owners have three years in whi ch to pay the assessment on thei r respecti ve tax bi 11 s. The three year time limit was determined based on the authorization given for the first phase of this type of assessment.
