Synopsis of Previous Council action:
12/18/89 --- Authorization to proceed was granted.
Recommended motion:
That the Director of Public Works/City Engineer and the City Clerk are authorized
to proceed with the amended proposed annexation of the territory generally
located Southwest of the 1-215 Freeway. Southeast ,)f the 1-15 Freeway, and
Northwest of Cajon Boulevard.

STAFF REPORT
Due to proposed development of the area located Southeast of the 1-15 Freeway and
Southwest of the 1-215 Freeway, the City began annexation proceedings for this
territory, after receiving authorization to proceed on December 18, 1989.
This office received a request from a property owner, having property adjacent to the
proposed annexation, to be included in the annexation proceedings. This area is still
within the City's Sphere of Influence.
Amending the proposed annexation to include this area would extend the City limits to
the current Sphere of Influence in that area. This proposed amendment includes area
that is about 501 vacant property and due for development. It is recommended that
authorization be given to include the amended area in the annexation proposal.
URGENCY CLAUSE:
Authorization has been granted to proceed with an annexation for the
adjoining properties. According to the schedule developed in
conjunction with the majority property owner, the application to LAFCO
will be considered at the Council meeting of 2-19-90.
If the additional area is to be included, authorization to expand the
annexation will have to be granted at the Council Meeting of 2-5-90, in
order to allow the agenda item to be prepared.
