HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-415 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 2005-415 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION 2005-363, ESTABLISHING THE APPLICATION PROCESS, REVIEW PROCEDURES, AND REQUIRED CONTRACT PROVISIONS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A MILLS ACT PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 50280, ET SEQ., AND SETTING AN APPLICATION FEE WHEREAS, California Government Code, Article 12, Section 50280, more commonly known as the Mills Act, established legislation providing property tax relief for owners of qualified historic properties who contract with a city to abide by reasonable preservation requirements; and WHEREAS, preservation agreements will have beneficial effects on residential neighborhoods, businesses, community pride, and regional image; and WHEREAS, the property located at 3469 North Valencia A venue was built in 1912, and although it is not listed in the 1991 Historic Resources Reconnaissance Survey, it is likely that the windshield survey overlooked this home since it should have been included in the pre- 1942 inventory; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 5 of Resolution 2005-363 is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 5. Eligibility for a Preservation Agreement shall be limited to the owners of those properties identified in the San Bernardino Historic Resources Reconnaissance Survey, Volume 2 - Tabular List of All Surveyed Historic Resources, dated April 30, 1991. Said list is hereby amended to include 3469 V alencia Avenue, a residence built in 1912 and of historic significance. The Mayor and Council hereby find that all properties contained in this list, as amended, shall be considered Qualified Historic Properties for purposes of the Mills Act, pursuant, to California Government Code Section 50280.1 (b) III III III III III III III III 1// 2005-415 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION 22005-363, ESTABLISHING THE APPLICA TION PROCESS, REVIEW PROCEDURES, AND REQUIRED CONTRACT PROVISIONS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A MILLS ACT PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 50280, ET SEQ., AND SETTING AN APPLICATION FEE I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the Mayor joint and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 19th day of December ,2005, by the following vote, to wit: ~~ !J ~A!Ul-/c City Clerk/~ The foregoing resolution is hereby approved this )) day of December, 2005.
