WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino (hereinafter the City) has applied to the Department of Housing and Community Development for funding under the Rental Housing Construction Program; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 50735, et seq., of the California Health and Safety Code, the California Department of Housing and Community Development (hereinafter the State) is authorized to provide funds for rental housing construction; and WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino (hereinafter the City) a local public agency organized under the statutes of the State of California, is eligible to receive said funds; and WHEREAS, the development identified in the State Contract has been completed or is about to be completed and may require said funds for operational subsidy; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized to enter into an amendment and any future amendments to the contract with the State for the purpose of providing such funds according to the terms of such contract.
