CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO -REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
SUBJECT
Resolution of the City of San Bernardino amending Resolution No. 6413, Section Eleven,
establishing a basic compensation plan (Mid-Management Unit).
BACKGROUND
The contract with the Middle-Management employees expired on June 30, 2003. The City Team
and the San Bernardino Public Employees' Association (SBPEA) began negotiations last June
2004. On January 13,2005, both sides reached tentative agreement on a successor Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU) and member ratification.
Effective January 1, 2005, a one-and-one-half percent (1.5%) Cost-Of-Living Adjustment
(COLA) will be given. This COLA will result in the entire pay scale moving upward by one-and-
one-half percent (1.5%).
This resolution is being amended to reflect the above salary increases.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to amend this resolution.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt Resolution.
