Background: The Police Department Traffic Division currently utilizes unit #984, a 1989 Chevrolet Crew Cab dually pick up truck with 51,173 miles, and it is on the approved FY05/06 Vehicle Replacement List. This sixteen (16) year old vehicle has become an economic burden. Chassis parts are no longer available, due to the fact that the manufacturer is only required to supply parts for ten (10) years. Therefore, it will be placed in surplus for auction. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOllOWS: SECTION 1. That Fairview Ford has offered a negotiated purchase price of $25,863.36 including tax for 2006 F-250 4WD Crew Cab pick up truck. Pursuant to this determination the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order to Fairview Ford of San Bernardino, in the amount of $25,863.36. SECTION 2. The Purchase Order shall reference this Resolution No. 2006-_ and shall read, "Purchase of a 2006 Ford F-250 4WD Crew cab pick up truck, P.O. not to exceed $25,863.36" and shall incorporate the terms and conditions of the Contract. SECTION 3.
