(dba PPR) for the Sewer Rehabilitation by Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) Method on "E" Street between 2nd Street and 5th Street (SW04-06) per Plan No. 10540. Backl!round: On September 15, 2003, the Mayor and Common Council approved the FY 2003/04 CIP, allocating $250,700 in Account No. 245-365-5504-7313 "E" Street - Repair Main, for the installation of a high- strength PVC liner in the existing sewer main in "E" Street between 2nd Street and 4th Street. This method of repair has been proven to be a cost-effective treatment for sealing minor cracks in sewers and storm drains. The cure time for the lining material is 6-12 hours. Additional Traffic Control c.C.0. No. 1 was approved for the repair of 200 linear feet of existing sewer mainline. It was originally anticipated the repairs would be completed by using a I-lane closure. However, with the newly constructed traffic calming islands, it was necessary for the contractor to erect a full-street closure on "E: Street from Court Street to 2nd Street. This full closure required additional traffic control plans, barricades and daily maintenance of the traffic control devices. Repair of Existing 8-inch Wve and Connection During construction of sewer mainline repair, it was discovered the 8-inch wye sewer connection and lateral from the Raddison Hotel was determined to be incorrectly installed and creating a blockage. It was necessary to reconstruct the 8-inch wye and 30 linear feet of sewer lateral. The revised project costs are as follows: Item Cost Estimated Cost Construction Cost $ 95,200.00 Contract Change Order No. One $ 35,000.00 Contract Change Order No. Two $ 9,300.00 Total $ 139,500.00 Financial Impact: There is sufficient funding for this project in Account No. 245-365-5504-7313 "E" Street ~ Repair Main (SW04-06) to cover this change order.
