A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO OF THAT
CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 295 (LAFC 1341).

WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of the District Reorganization
5
Act of the State of California, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San
6
Bernardino initiated proceedings for the reorganization of certain hereinafter
7
described territory to the City of San Bernardino; and
8
WHEREAS, after appropriate proceedings, the said Board of Supervisors
9
adopted a Resolution ordering the reorganization of such territory at its
10
meeting of October 16, 1973; and
11
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 56452 and 56453, respectively, of the
12
Government Code, the said Board of Supervisors completed its proceedings by:
13
1. Filing its Certificate of Completion for the Reorganization of
14
the hereinafter described territory (LAFC 1341) with the Secretary
15
of the State of California on November 2, 1973; and
16
2. Recording said Certificate of Completion, together with a copy
17
of the Certificate of Filing issued by the Secretary of State,
18
at the San Bernardino County Recorder's office on November 20,
19
1973, at Page 1099
of Book 8311 , Records of said County; and
20 WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of San Bernardino desires to
21 accept at this time the annexation of the aforesaid territory;
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF
23 THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION ONE: That said territory herein described as Annexation
District No. 295 is hereby annexed and incorporated in and made a part of the
City of San Bernardino.
SECTION TWO: The territory herein referred to as being annexed to
the City of San Bernardino is particularly described as follows, to wit:

That certain County peninsula located Northeasterly of
Kendall Drive and Southeasterly of Pine Avenue bounded by
the Corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino in the
County of San Bernardino, State of California and those
portions of the adjoining Streets, described as follows:

Beginning at a point on the Corporate Limits of the City
of San Bernardino, said point being the intersection of the
center1ines of said Kendall Drive and Pine Avenue; thence
following said City Limit line, the following courses and
distances; thence Northerly, a distance of 240 feet, more
or less, to an angle point therein; thence Northeasterly,
a distance of 330 feet, more or less, to an angle point
therein; thence Northerly, a distance of 150 feet, more or
less, to an angle point therein; thence Southeasterly, a
distance of 1367.99 feet, more or less to an angle point
therein; thence South, a distance of 178 feet, more or less,
to an angle point therein; thence Southeasterly, a distance
of 1800 feet, more or less, to an angle point therein; thence
Southerly, a distance of 1260 feet, more or less, to an angle
point therein; thence West, a distance of 570 feet, more or
less, to an angle point therein; thence Southwesterly, a
distance of 95 feet, more or less, to an angle point therein,
said point being in the centerline of said Kendall Drive;
thence Northwesterly along said City Limit line, a distance
of 3020 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said City
Limit line; thence leaving said City Limit line and continuing
along the centerline of said Kendall Drive, a distance of
845 feet, more or less, to the Point of Beginning.

Avenue, West of Muscott Street bounded by the Corporate
Limits of the City of San Bernardino, in the County of San
Bernardino, State of California, and those portions of the
adjoining Streets, described as follows:

said City, said point being the intersection of the center
line of Highland Avenue and State Street; thence following
the boundaries of said City the following courses and distances;

of said Foothill Boulevard and East thereon, a distance of
275 feet, more or less, from the East line of Pepper Avenue;

the City of San Bernardino, said point being the intersection
of the center lines of said "I" Street and Jefferson Avenue;
thence West leaving said City Limit line along said centerline
of Jefferson Street, a distance of 350 feet more or less to

line of Lot 50 Washington Square, as per plat thereof recorded
in Book 16 of Maps, Page 51, records of County Recorder, County

SECTION THREE: That the above described property will be subject to

taxation equally with the property within such municipal corporation to pay its
19
proportion of the following bonded indebtedness of the City of San Bernardino,
20
which said bonded indebtedness was outstanding or theretofore authorized and is
21
outstanding at the time of said annexation, to wit:
A bonded indebtedness of $490,000.00, incurred for the acquisition
23
and construction of a public library, including additions to and enlargements
24
of t'p Dublic library system of said City, the outstanding indebtedness thereon
25
being $150,000.00, bearing interest at the rates of 4-3/4%, 3-1/4% and 3-1/2%
per annum;

A bonded indebtedness of $1,116,000.00, incurred for the acquisition

1 and construction of additions to, relocations of and replacements of the fire
2 fighting system of said City, the outstanding indebtedness thereon being
3 $600,000.00, bearing interest at the rates of 4%, 3%, 2-3/4%, 2.9% and 2-1/2%
4 per annum.

SECTION FOUR: The parcels herein annexed are admitted to the City
6 with the zoning classification of R-1-7200 Single Family Residential Zoning
7 District and the Wards are hereby altered to include the parcels as follows:
