RESOLUTION NO. 86-7
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE NEGATIVE
DECLARATION AS TO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 82-3 TO
THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO (GENERAL PLAN LAND USE
ELEMENT) .

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
5 BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

7 (a) The General Plan Land Use Element for the City of San Bernardino
8 was adopted by the Mayor and Common Council by Resolution No. 7336 on August
9 17, 1964.

(b) Amendment No. 82-3 to the General Plan of the City of San
11 Bernardino was approved by the Planning Commission of the City of San
12 Bernardino on January 4, 1983, after a legally advertised public hearing.
13 (c) A negative declaration issued by the Environmental Review
14 Committee of the City, complete with an initial study relating to Amendment
15 No. 82-3 and all comments relative thereto have been reviewed and approved
16 by the Planning Commission and the Mayor and Common Council in compliance
17 with the California Environmental Quality Act and local regulations.

(d) The Mayor and Common Council reviewed and considered proposed
19 Amendment No. 82-3 on January 17, 1983.
20 (e) The adoption of Amendment No. 82-3 is deemed in the interest of
21 the orderly development of the City and is consistent with the goals and
22 objectives of the existing General Plan.

Neqative Declaration.
The Mayor and Common
24 Council hereby find and declare that the proposed amendment to the General
25 Plan of the City of San Bernardino will have no significant effect on the
26 environment, and the negative declaration heretofore adopted by the
27 Environmental Review Committee as to the effect of this proposed amendment
28 is hereby rati fi ed, affi rmed and adopted.

SECTI ON 3.
Amendment.
The Land Use Element of the General Plan
2 of the City of San Bernardino is amended by changing the area bounded by
3 Marshall Boulevard on the south, Eureka Street on the north, Mountain Avenue
4 on the west and Del Rosa Avenue on the east and including an additional area
5 located within approximately 400 feet on the east side of Del Rosa Avenue
6 between Eureka Street and Marshall Boulevard, as outlined on the map
7 entitled Exhibit "A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated
8 herein by reference, from Low-Medium Density Residential (4-7 units per net
9 acre) and Medium Density Residential (8-14 units per net acre) to Medium
10 Density Residential (8-14 units per net acre) and General Commercial. This
11 amendment is designated as General Plan Amendment No. 82-3.

SECTION 4.
Map Notation. This resolution and the amendment
13 effected by it shall be noted on such appropriate maps as have been adopted
14 and approved by the Mayor and Common Council.
15 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
16 Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
17
