2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
5.04.525.B. AND ADDING SECTION 5.04.525.G. TO THE SAN BERNARDINO
3 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO BUSINESS LICENSE FEES FOR BARBER
SHOPS, MANICURISTS, SHAMPOOING AND HAIRDRESSING PARLORS

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
5 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
Section 5.04.525.B. is hereby amended to read
7 as follows:

"B.
Retail Merchants (other than food).
Every person,
9
firm or corporation conducting, managing or carrying on the
business of selling at retail any goods, services, wares or
merchandise not otherwise specifically licensed by other
sections of this chapter, shall pay an annual license fee
established by resolution of the Mayor and Common Council.
'Retail Merchants (other than food)' for purposes of this
subsection shall include but shall not be limited to the
following businesses:
1. Alarm Businesses.
2. Alterations.
3. Ambulance service.
4. Antiques.
5. Armored car service.
6. Art studio or gallery.
7. Athletic exhibitions.
8. Barber and beauty supply.
9. Bicycles.
10. Boat Sales and service.
11. Book store.

SECTION 2.
Subsection G is hereby added to San Bernardino

13 Municipal Code Section 5.04.525 to read as follows:
"G.
Barbershops, manicurist, shampooing or hair-dressing

parlors.
Every person, firm, or corporation conducting,
carrying on or managing a business consisting principally
of a barbershop, manicurist, shampooing or hairdressing
parlor and not otherwise specifically licensed by other
sections of this article, shall pay an annual license fee
of sixty dollars (S60.00), plus one-half (1/2) of one-tenth
(1/10) of one percent (.0005) on all dollar value of annual
gross receipts in excess of $25,000.00 of such gross
receipts, payable quarterly in four equal payments if total
is more than $500.00 per year."
