A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO INITIATING PROCEEDINGS
AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF THE AREA
GENERALLY LOCATED NORTH OF BASELINE STREET, EAST OF CEDAR STREET, SOUTH OF
GILBERT STREET AND WEST OF THE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL CHANNEL, DESIGNATED
LAFCO 2620.
WHEREAS ,preliminary proceedings for a reorganization (annexation)
were initiated when the City of San Bernardino filed its Resolution No. 90-
178, applying to the Local Agency Formation Commission in the County of San
Bernardino for annexation of certain territory pursuant to the Cortese-Knox
Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with
section 56000 of the California Government Code.
WHEREAS, no City other than the City of San Bernardino is affected
by this annexation, and
WHEREAS, the proposal is for annexation of the territory described
below to the City of San Bernardino. The area is legally inhabited. It has
an assessed valuation of $ 4,234,545.
WHEREAS,
residents of the proposed annexation have requested
annexation to the City of San Bernardino to receive extended urban services.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has set forth the
following terms and conditions in its Resolution No. 2284:
"Condi tion No. L The
conducting
authority
for this
proceeding shall be the City Council of the City of San Bernardino.
"Condition No.2. The boundaries are approved as set forth
in Exhibit "A" attached.
"Condition No.3. The following distinctive short
form
designation shall be used throughout this proceeding: LAFC 2620.
"Condition No.4. The conducting authority is required to
provide notice of its hearing in accordance with the provisions of

WHEREAS, a description of the boundaries for the
proposed
9 annexation is as follows: generally located North of Baseline Street, East
10 of Cedar Street, South of Gilbert Street and West the County Flood Control
11 Channel, and is more fully described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
12 incorporated by reference as though fully set forth in length.

SECTION 1, A public hearing will be conducted on Monday, December 3, 1990,
to be held in Council Chambers, City Hall, 300 North liD" Street, San
Bernardino, California, at the hour of 10 a.m. ,or as soon after that
time as the matter may be heard, to receive, consider and rule upon written
protests to the annexation designated LAFCO 2620.
SECTION 2. At any time prior to the conclusion of the hearing in
the notice given by the clerk, but not thereafter, any owner of land or any
registered voter within inhabited territory proposed to be annexed, may file
a written protest against the annexation, Each written protest shall state
whether it is made by a landowner or registered voter and the name and
address of the owner of the land affected and the street address or other
description sufficient to identify the location of the land or the name and
address of the registered voter as it appears on the affidavit of
registration. Protests may be made on behalf of an owner of land by an agent

LOCATED NORTH OF BASE LINE STREET, EAST OF CEDAR STREET
Those portions of Tract No. 2307, as per map recorded in Book 33 of Maps,
page 49, and Tract No. 2624, as per map recorded in Book 37 of Maps, page
30, and a portion of the Rancho Muscupiabe, as per map recorded in Book 7
of Maps, page 2, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the corporate City limit line of the City of San
Bernardino, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Gilbert
Street and the northerly prolongation of the west line of Lot 31 of said
Tract No. 2624: thence along said City limit line, the following courses and
distances, south along said northerly prolongation, the east line of Lot 31
and along the east line of said Tract 2624, to the north line of Lot B of
said Tract No. 2307: thence west along said north line and the westerly
prolongation thereof, to the centerline of Cedar Street; thence south, along
said centerline, to the westerly prolongation of the south line of Lot 15 of
said Tract No. 2307: thence east, along said prolongation and the south line
of said Lot 15, to the most easterly west line of Lot 4 of said Tract No.
2624, thence south, along said west line, a distance of 5 feet to the south
