OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING FORCE REQUIRED UNDER A.B. 939 AND ALTERNATE FROM THE CITY OF OF THE CITY SOLID WASTE TASK A REPRESENTATIVE 3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, section 409540 of A. B. 939 provides that on or before March 1, 1990, each County shall convene a Task Force to assist in coordinating the development of city source reduction and recycling elements; and, WHEREAS, the membership of the Task Force shall be determined by the Board of Supervisors and a majority of the cities within the county which contain a majority of the population in the county; and, WHEREAS, membership may include representatives of the solid waste industry, environmental organizations, general public, special districts, and affected governmental agencies; and, WHEREAS, each city within the county is an affected governmental agency under A.B. 939; NOW, THEREFORE, the city Council of the City of San Ber- nardino resolves as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the city of San Bernardino approves the membership of the Task Force required under section 409540 B. 939 only to consist of one of A. elected official, representative, who is from each an incorporated city within the county and one representative from district, and provides that each each county supervisorial representative may be represented in turn by an alternate who need not be an elected official; and, RES"LUTI0N APPROVING MEMBERSH!P OF" A SOLID T'JASTE TASK FORCE REQUIRED UNDER A.B. 939 AND DESIGNATING A REPRESENT.;>TIVE AND ALTERNATE FROM THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO. SECTION 2. Representatives of the solid waste industry, 1 2 3 4 5 6 public and special environmental organizations, general districts shall not have voting status as a member of the Task Force, but may, as determined by the Task Force, be included as participants of the technical subcommittees of the Task Force. All elected officers of the Task Force including Chairman and Vice-Chairman, shall be determined by the members of the Task Force.
