HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-085 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 1 RESOLUTION NO. gl RS 2 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ALLOCATING 125 UNDESIGNATED PARKING SPACES IN THE 3 FIVE-LEVEL PARKING STRUCTURE FOR PACIFIC FIRST BANK BUILDING AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 84-366. 4 5 WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San 6 Bernardino did on January 18, 1973, adopt Resolution No. 2658 7 providing for allocation of 125 undesignated parking spaces within the five-level parking structure to Santa Fe Federal 8 Savings and Loan Association, the predecessor to Pacific Federal 9 Plaza Savings and Loan Association, and 10 11 WHEREAS, on September 10, 1984, the Mayor and Common 12 Council did adopt Resolution No. 84-366 concurring in the 13 allocation of such spaces, as provided for in the lease agreement 14 between the City and the Redevelopment Agency relating to use of the five-level parking structure, and 15 WHEREAS, the Fred C. Sands, the current owner of the 16 building, now known as the Pacific First Bank Building, desires to transfer such building, and WHEREAS, the infusion of new owners into the downtown area will be beneficial for the citizens of San Bernardino, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. 125 undesignated parking spaces in the five- level parking structure located adjacent to City Hall are hereby allocated to the Pacific First Bank Building, for use of the occupants of that building without charge except as specified below, which allocation shall be effective solely in conjunction with the ownership, use and operation of said building, which DAB/ses/Pacific.res March 6, 1991 1 , 1 allocation shall not be separately transferable or assignable. 2 SECTION 2. In the event City hereafter elects to assess 3 charges per space for persons and/or firms to whom parking spaces 4 have been allocated but remain undesignated, any such charge 5 shall apply equally to the spaces allocated herein. 6 SECTION 3. This resolution shall not be deemed to grant, 7 authority to withhold or affect in any manner any parking credits 8 which may be authorized by ordinance or resolution for properties 10 9 within the Central City Parking District. 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / SECTION 4.
