HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-174 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 RESOLUTION 93-174 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ASSESSING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES (ABANDONED VEHICLES) ON SAID PROPERTIES. WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its authority under Chapter 8.36 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, did lawfully give notice of and thereafter abate public nuisances found to exist on the properties listed below; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the San Bernardino Municipal Code, the Director of Facilities Management Department served notice on all property owners of the abatement costs for removing abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, andlor inoperable vehicles or parts thereof from the property; and WHEREAS, opportunity for a hearing of the Board of Building commissioners to protest the abatement costs was afforded the property owners, with no response forthcoming; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council confirm and adopt as special assessments, the following abatement costs which have been incurred by the City for the abatement of public nuisances found to exist on the following properties; Assessment Assessor's Location Amount of Case No. Number Owner's Name Assessment 92-VAP-0703-10 0142-263-04 2277 W. Ramirez 25 26 27 28 1 RES 93-174 1 2 3 4 5 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ASSESSING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINC FOR THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES (ABANDONED VEHICLES) ON SAID PROPERTIES. SECTION 2. The above assessments shall be paid to Facilitief Manaqement Department, basement of City Hall, 300 No."D" Street, 6 San Bernardino, CA 92418, within thirty (30) days after notice of 7 this resolution is mailed to all parties with an interest in the 8 above properties. All assessments not fully paid in thirty (30) 9 days shall become a lien on the property pursuant to The Sar 10 Bernardino Municipal Code and shall be collected as a special 11 assessment thereon. 12 SECTION 3. If the above assessment is not paid as hereinabove 13 provided, the City Clerk is directed to file a certified copy of 14 this resolution with the Auditor of the County of San Bernardino, 15 state of California, directing that said assessment be entered as 16 a lien against the property as it appears on the current assessment 17 rOlls. The assessment shall be collected at the same time and ir 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 the same manner as ch~ qeneral property taxes for the City of Sar Bernardino including penalties and interest for delinquent payments. The City Clerk shall also present for recording appropriate notices of the imposition of these liens with the County Recorder.
