DIOCESE OF SAN BERNARDINO. TO PROVIDE SENIOR AIDES TO CITY WORK SITES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City an agreement with the Catholic Charities, Inc. Diocese of San Bernardino, relating to the placement of senior aides at City work sites. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at length. SECTION 2, The authorization granted hereunder shall expire and be void and of no further effect if the agreement is not executed by both parties and returned to the office of the City Clerk within 60 days following effective date of the resolution. The !lOst Agency a;rees to provide a safe and healthful work site for each Senior Aide, to provide adequate orientation aOO trainirg necessary to perform assigned job duties in accordance with a written job description, to provide additional training as opportunities occur, and, to the extent possible, to treat each Senior Aide as a regular member of the Host Agency staff. 'rtle H::lst Agency a;rees to consider each Senior Aide for regular Employment, either full-time or part-time, when vacancies occur in the Host 1qency staff or Iotlen new p:lsitions are created. The Host Agen:::y understands that the maximum lergth of time that a Senior Aide may rsnain in the sane job assigrrnent shall not exceed 24 months, except under limited cirC\Illstances which will be detelIllined by the N:SC Senior AIDES Progran. ~reover, the !lOst Agency understands that the Sponsor Agency reserves the right, following reasonable notice, to reassign any Senior Aide at any time that Teassigment will increase the Senior Aide's opportunities for training or unsubsidized Employment, or will otherwise serve the best interests of the Senior Aide, or will better support the goals and objectives of the Senior AIDES Progriilll. The !lOst 1qency agrees that no other national Title V project sponsor will be provided a work site while this Agreenent is in effect. 'rtle !lOst 1qency agrees to abide by the hours and work schedules mutually agreed to for eadl senior Aide aOO to provide properly prepared time sheets, periodic performance e\7aluations, and other required doCIIIlents. In addition, the Host Agency agrees and understands that each Senior Aide will be required to atteOO periodic Senior AIDES Project meetings during regular working hours. The Host Agen::y certifies by this AgreEment that it is a gove:rnnental agency or is a non-profit agency which is currently certified as a Section 50l(c) (3) organization under t.'2 Internal Reva~ue Code, E\lrther, if the Host 1>i3erry is certified as a Section 501 (c) (3) agency, a copy of t.'lat certification is attac~ed or is on file with t.':e Sp:lnsor Agerry and is still in effect.
