HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-001 1 RESOLUTION 93-1 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ASSESSING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO 3 FOR THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES (ABANDONED VEHICLES) ON SAID PROPERTIES. 4 5 WHEREAS, the city of San Bernardino, pursuant to its authority under Chapter 8.36 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, 6 did lawfully give notice of and thereafter abate public nuisances 7 found to exist on the properties listed below; and 8 9 WHEREAS, pursuant to the San Bernardino Municipal Code, the Director of Facilities Management Department served notice on all 10 property owners of the abatement costs for removing abandoned, 11 wrecked, dismantled, and/or inoperable vehicles or parts thereof 12 from the property; and 13 14 15 WHEREAS, opportunity for a hearing of the Board of Building commissioners to protest the abatement costs was afforded the property owners, with no response forthcoming; 16 17 18 19 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED IlY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council confirm and adopt as special assessments, the following abatement costs which have 20 been incurred by the City for the abatement of public nuisances 21 found to exist on the following properties; 22 Assessment Assessor's Location Amount of 23 Case No. Number Owner's Name Assessment 24- 92-VAP-0626-08 0272-192-01 1275 E. Wilson 1 RES 93-1 1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ASSESSING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO 2 FOR THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES (ABANDONED VEHICLES) ON SAID PROPERTIES. 3 4 SECTION 2. The above assessments shall be paid to Facilities 5 Manaqement Department, basement of city Hall, 300 No."D" Street, 6 San Bernardino, CA 92418, within thirty (30) days after notice of 7 this resolution is mailed to all parties with an interest in the 8 above properties. All assessments not fully paid in thirty (30) 9 days shall become a lien on the property pursuant to The San 10 Bernardino Municipal Code and shall be collected as a special 11 assessment thereon. 12 SECTION 3. If the above assessment is not paid as hereinabove 13 provided, the city Clerk is directed to file a certified copy of 14 this resolution with the Auditor of the County of San Bernardino, 15 State of California, directing that said assessment be entered as 16 a lien against the property as it appears on the current assessment 17 rolls. The assessment shall be collected at the same time and in 18 the same manner as the general property taxes for the City of San 19 Bernardino including penalties and interest for delinquent 20 payments. 2] The City Clerk shall also present for recording appropriate 22 notices 23 III 24 III 25 III 26 III 27 28 of the imposition of these liens with 'the County Recorder. 2 RES 93-1 1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ASSESSING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO 2 FOR THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES (ABANDONED 3 VEHICLES) ON SAID PROPERTIES.
