RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC l'lORKS/CITY ENGINEER TO FILE A FISCAL YEAR
1995/96 CLAIM WITH THE SAN BERNARDINO ASSOCIATED GOVERNMENTS FOR
$19,054.00 OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA) , ARTICLE 3,
CURB CUT ALLOCATIONS AS REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
HANDICAP RAMP PROJECTS CONSTRUCTED AT FIFTEEN LOCATIONS
THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO.
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 821 of 1976, ultimately enacted and
now existing as Public Utili ties Code Section 99233.3, provides
that 2% of the Local Transportation Funds of certain counties,
including San Bernardino County, be set aside and used to fund
10 the development of bicycle, pedestrian facilities, and handicap
11 ramps; and

WHEREAS, these various types of facilities are included
13 in the circulation element of the General Plan adopted by the
14 City of San Bernardino; and
15 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino desires to construct
16 these types of facilities utilizing the funds made ava,ilable

under said code provision,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMJ.!ON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Director of Public Works/City Engineer is
authorized to file FY 1995/96 project claims with the San
Bernardino Associated Governments for $19,054.00 of TDA, Article
3, Curb Cut funds apportioned pursuant to California Public
Utilities Code Section 99233.3, corrunonly referred to as Senate
Bill 821.
SECTION 2.
The Director of Public Works/City Engineer
has authorized the construction of handicap ramp facilities at
fifteen (15) locations throughout the City of San Bernardino, as
