HomeMy WebLinkAbout1995-383 RESOLUTION NO. 95-383 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FIXING AND DETERMINING THE FEES AND CHARGES TO BE CHARGED FOR THE COLLECTION, PROCESSING AND DISPOSAL OF WASTE TIRES. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The fees and charges set forth herein shall apply to used and waste tire collection services provided by the City. SECTION 2. A minimum sixty-five dollar ($65.00) deposit shall be required for each newly established used and waste tire collection account. Said deposit shall be paid prior to the City commencing used and waste tire collection service. This deposit shall be retained by the City and applied to any closing bill upon termination of service. Any excess amount shall be refunded. SECTION 3. COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF USED AND WASTE TIRES - TIRE RACK SERVICE. For collection and disposal of used and waste tires using a City-owned tire collection rack and hydraulic loading equipment, the owner or authorized agent of any seller of new or used tires shall pay the following fees: FEE PER MONTH TYPE OF SERVICE First rack one (I) time per week $133.00 Each additional rack one (1) time per week $106.00 First rack two (2) times per week $265.00 Each additional rack two (2) times per week $212.00 First rack three (3) times per week $398.00 Each additional rack three (3) times per week $318.00 SECTION 4. All fees and charges set forth in this resolution shall be collected monthly. SECTION 5. Any service for the collection and disposal of used and waste tires as set forth in this resolution may be discontinued by the Director of Public Services if any fees or charges, as levied herein, are not paid within ninety (90) days from the date said assessment is billed. SECTION 6. The Director of Public Services may provide collection and disposal service for used and waste tires without charge in emergency situations and when, in the opinion of the Director, such action is necessary to correct fire hazards, or other conditions which present an imminent threat to health and safety.
