HomeMy WebLinkAbout1995-182 Note: Bound Contract 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 95-182 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING AND ADOPTING AN EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN FOR THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO POLICE DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino has been and continues to be firmly committed to ensuring equal employment opportunity and identifying and removing any intentional or unintentional discrimination within its police department; and, WHEREAS, the City's ultimate goal is to create and maintain a truly diverse and integrated work force that will best meet the needs of the police department and those people whom the department serves; and, WHEREAS, the City desires to enhance the recognition of its police department as an equal opportunity employer; WHEREAS, the City is committed to affirmative action to achieve staff diversity within the police department, among both sworn and non-sworn personnel; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Equal Employment Opportunity Affirmative Action Plan of the San Bernardino Police Department, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A," is hereby approved, adopted and incorporated into the City's Affirmative Action Plan, adopted by Resolution No. 15039.
