Home My WebLink About1996-264 1 RESOLUTION NO. 96-264 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ADOPTING THE FIVE- YEAR CAPITAL H1PROVEMENT PROGRAM (1997/01) FOR MEASURE "I" 3 LOCAL EXPENDITURES, AND AMEND/1ENT NO. ONE FOR THE 1994/95 PLAN. 4 WHEREAS, San Bernardino County votp-rs approved passage of 5 Measure "I" authorizing San Bernardino in November, 1989, 6 Associated Governments, acting as the San Bernardino County 7 Transportation Authority, to impose a one-half of one percent 8 retail transactions and use tax applicable in the incorporated 9 and unincorporated territory of the County of San Bernardino; 10 and, 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 WHEREAS, revenue from the tax can only be used for transportation and traffic management programs improvement authorized in the Expenditure Plans set forth in Ordinance No. 89-1 of the Authority; and, WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the ordinance require each local jurisdiction receiving revenue from the tax to expend those funds pursuant to a Five-Year Capital Improvement Program and a Twenty-Year Transportation Plan adopted by resolution of the local jurisdiction; and, 20 WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the ordinance also require 21 that each local jurisdiction annually adopt and update the Five 22 and Twenty-Year plans. 23 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, the Independp-nt Auditor's Report recommended that the 1994/95 Plan be amended in order to reflect actual expenditures. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The amended CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, for Measure "I" Program of J,ocal Expenditures, for 1997/01, a copy of 8-06-96 ~s 96-264 RESO: ADOPTING 1997/01 FIVE-YEAR PLAN FOR MEASURE "I" FUNDS 1 which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated 2 herein by reference as fully as though set forth at length, is 3 hereby adopted. 4 SECTION 2. The amended CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, for 5 Measure "I" Program of Local Expenditures, for 1994/95, a copy of 6 which is attached hereto marked Exhibit "B" and incorporated 7 herein by reference as fully as though set forth at length, is 8 hereby adopted. 9 SECTION 3.
