HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-250 RESOLUTION NO. 96-250 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AND CASA DE SAN BERNARDINO, INC. Be it resolved by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino as follows: SECTION I (a) The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City, an amendment to the agreement for Community Development Block Grant funding with Casa De San Bernardino, Inc., which amendment is attached hereto as Exhibit" I ", and is incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth at length. The Amendment provides for the granting of Community Development Block Grant funds in the amount of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500). SECTION II (a) The authorization to execute the above referenced amendment is rescinded if the parties to the agreement shall fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the passage ofthe Resolution. PENMAN City Attorney B~JL) RES 96-250 96-250 FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AGREEMENT 1 2 THlS FIRST AMENDMENT to Agreement 95-201 referred to as 3 ("Amendment"), is made and entered into this 1st day of August, 1996 by and between 4 the City of San Bernardino, a municipal corporation, referred to as ("City"), and Casa De 5 San Bernardino. Inc. , a non-profit community service organization, referred to as 6 ("Subrecipient"). City and Subrecipient agree as follows: 7 WITNESSETH 8 Community Development Block Grant 9 10 Wher~as, City and Subrecipi(;llt have previously entertld into agreement #95..134, 11 dated July 1. 1995, referred to as ("Agreement"), for fair housing services; and 12 Whereas, City ans Subrecipient desire to amend agreement to include the 13 subrecipient's completion of an analysis of impediments to fair housing: and 14 15 Whereas, City desires to increase the amount Community Development Block Grant funding in the amount of Seventy-five Hundred Dollars ($7,500) to allow 16 17 Subrecipient to complete amendment. 18 Now, therefore, in consideration of the mutual covenants herein set forth and the 19 mutual benefits to be derived there from, the parties agree as follows: 20 21 22 23 1. Add to Section 1 (b) Becitals (The revised Exhibit "A") 2. Change the first sentence in Section 2 Payments 24 City shall reimburse Subrecipient for allowable costs incurred under the scope of 25 this Agreement and applicable Federal regulations, which have not been paid for or 26 I eimbursement will be made at least on a monthly basis, with the total of all such 27 28 reimbursements not to exceed $13.775.
