HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-166 '1 1 2 3 4 96-166 RESOLUTION NO. 5 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AND CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING AGENCY 6 Be it resolved by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino as 7 follows: 8 SECTION I 9 (a) The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized and directed 10 14 and is incOl'porated herein by reference as though fully set forth at length. The 15 A-Inendment provides for the extension of the term for the expenditure of Community 16 I . 'T f, //9,Q6 RES 96-166 96-166 FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AGREEMENT MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING TIllS FIRST AMENDMENT to Memorandum of Understanding 95-107 referred to as ("Amendment"), is made and entered into this 17th Day of June, 1996 by and between the City of San Bernardino, a municipal corporation, referred to as ("City"), and City of San Bernardino Employment and Training Agency. a non-profit community service organization, referred to as ("Subrecipient"). City and Subrecipient agree as follows: WITNESSETH Community Development Block Grant Whereas, City and Subrecipient have previously entered into Memorandum of Understanding # 95-107, dated Julv L 1995, referred to as ("MOD"), for Job support services such as childcare, transportation, meals and limited medical attention for low- and moderate income job training participants; and Whereas, City and Subrecipient desire to amend agreement to extend the time for project implementation. Now, therefore, in consideration ofthe mutual covenants herein set forth and the mutual benefits to be derived there from, the parties agree as follows: L Change the language in Section 3 Term "This Memorandum of Understanding shall commence on July 1, 1995 and terminate on September 30, 1996." /11/ /1/11 //1/ 1//1 RES 96-166 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have caused Amendment to be executed as of the day and year first written above.
